Every day at Midday around the world MU Members pray for each other. As this occurs in all time zones, it has come to be known as the Wave of Prayer.
Dioceses around the world are linked into groups and at some time during the year each diocese is the focus of prayer.
Sydney Link Dioceses are Portsmouth, Egba, Lagos, Rewa, Lagos West, Yewa, Malakal, and Baghdad.
In 2011 we hosted Regional Prayer Days - "Forward on our Knees".
MU Sydney produces a Prayer Diary which is published 3 times per year. It includes prayer points for each day so that during the period the work and people involved in MU work are specifically mentioned in prayers - MU worldwide, in Australia, and in Sydney. Also included are the Mothers' Union Prayer and wording for Midday Prayers.
