This initiative started at Normanhurst Branch in 2010 and has now spread to the rest of the Sydney Branches. We have produced a series of single A4 sheets with half a page of information about a particular aspect of MU's work either in Sydney Diocese or elsewhere.
The original aim was to help our MU Branch members learn more about what MU does, so they can pass this information on to other people they know and raise awareness about MU. So sheets were used at Branch meetings to give a 'cameo' spot in each meeting focusing on a different part of MU's work.
However when we distributed them, we found people used them as handout sheets in church newssheets, as information sheets for outreach meetings, as posters, and I'm sure more uses will emerge as people use their imagination.
In 2010 we produced several sheets as a trial. They were MU at the United Nations, MU at the Family courts, the MU Worker at Colo Vale and MU in Baghdad 'the most dangerous parish in the world'. We intend to produce a further 10 for use in 2011, and these will be posted on this site for downloading when they are ready. In the meantime you are welcome to download a sample of our originals.
