This month MU at St Thomas’ Enfield held a meeting with a difference! They invited interested parishioners to join them, hired two mini-buses for transport, and visited Bishopscourt. With Christine Jensen as a gracious hostess and guide, the group enjoyed morning tea, listened to the history of Bishopscourt and were able to walk around the gracious home and admire one of the finest examples (although there have been some alterations) of an architectural Gothic revival style mansion in Australia.
It was a special time to share a short praise and worship service in the chapel, enjoy lunch and the views of the harbour from the house.
As a group we thanked the Archbishop and Christine very much for an enjoyable day and for inviting us to visit their home. For enquiries about the possibility of your group visiting Bishopscourt, contact Christine Jensen
