On Friday 25th March our president Christine Jensen was the guest speaker at the celebration of Lady Day at the beautiful Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle.
Three hundred MU women from across the vast Newcastle Diocese came together to mark the day and were welcomed by Bishop of Newcastle - The Right Reverend Dr Brian Farran; the Dean of Newcastle - The Very Reverend Dr James Rigney; the MU Chaplain - The Reverend Dr Daniel Dries; and the new MU Diocesan President - Laurel Brook.
Christine spoke on "who am I?" and took as her text, Proverbs 31:30.
"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
Christine challenged the members to read the 31 chapters of Provers in a month and to be encouraged by the wisdom of the words and poetry of the book.
