The 18th Jean Arnot Memorial Luncheon

Co-organised by the National Council of Women of NSW Inc. and Business & Professional Women of Australia Inc.

This annual event honours ladies in their 90th year or more who have worked for women and their communities during their lifetime. Affiliated organisations are invited to nominate such ladies to be honoured. MU Sydney was proud and delighted to nominate two of our members this year.

On Wednesday 26th May 2010 at this year’s Luncheon at Parliament House Grace Robson, Margaret Rush and Beryl McLauglin were among 41 ladies so honoured and presented with a certificate by the Distinguished Guest of Honour, Her Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, Governor of New South Wales. After the presentation the ladies then joined over 300 guests for lunch in the Strangers Dining Room where a small posy of yellow roses and chocolates were awaiting them at their seats. Grace, Margaret and Beryl enjoyed a very happy time together with members of their families and friends. Christine Jensen (Diocesan Patron & President), Jan Livingstone OAM (Diocesan Senior Vice President) and Pauline Burdon (Diocesan Secretary) were pleased to support our very special MU members at this occasion.
