Grace Robson joined the Mothers' Union in 1942 and was soon elected as Treasurer of her branch.
Her appointment as a Deanery President gave Grace the opportunity to meet members from other branches. She assisted in organising the serving of tea and biscuits to families appearing before the Children's Court. This service continues today.
Grace later undertook the responsibility for caring for Lone Members (now known as Diocesan Members). She was then appointed to the Executive of the Sydney Mothers' Union as Vice President in charge of the Southern Region.
In 1975 Grace was pleased to represent Sydney Diocese at the Centenary Services of Mothers' Union in London. A Reception with the Queen and Garden Party with the Queen Mother were part of the celebrations.
Grace was elected as a Life Member of the MU Sydney Council in recognition of her long and faithful service, and was a much loved and valued member of our organisation.
