Wednesday, 25th May proved to be a cold, wet and windy day but the weather was not a deterrent for 85 ladies who attended the Georges River Region morning tea at St Thomas’ Enfield.
The theme of the morning was “Rosemary and Thyme”, Rosemary for remembrance and Thyme for courage and strength. This theme was adapted to the morning tea with rosemary bushes for a decoration, serviettes with herb motifs, a herb quiz and a herb patterned tea-towel for each lady to take home.
After hearing Christine Jensen speaking with wisdom and understanding of our topic and Narelle Whitson’s singing of Safe in the Shadow, several ladies contacted me. They wanted to share the fact that the morning had not only been an opportunity to reconnect with MU friends, but it caused them to remember and, as Christians, think again about their relationship with God.
There were many requests for next year!
